Abstract

The issue of minorities is of a global nature, meaning it is not limited to specific countries or continents. It is not a new or recent issue, but rather an ancient and modern one at the same time. Its urgency continuously prompts political analysis, as it is closely linked to many issues, most notably the political stability of countries with large minority populations. The issue of minorities has always been and continues to be one of the intense and dangerous issues in pluralistic societies. The insistence of a nation to categorize itself within different groups, whether ethnic or religious, ultimately leads to the acknowledgment of a problem called "the minority problem." The problem becomes more complex when those in power deal with the ramifications of this problem as if it pertains to the fate of only a part of society, while the issue is, in fact, a matter concerning the entire community. Seeking mechanisms to achieve social harmony is not limited to the individuals of the minority; rather, it is a sensitive issue that requires cooperation and collaboration between the majority and minority to find an appropriate solution and achieve social integration.
