Abstract

      The research aims to shed light on the characteristics of the diplomatic function that is the basis of the foreign policy of each country, and to study the possibility and capacity of the state in managing the crises it is going through in light of the transformations in the international system. And learn about the importance of the diplomatic function during international crises, including the Corona pandemic.

Thus, the research will address the problem of the study represented: To what extent can the diplomatic function play a prominent role in managing international crises, including the Corona pandemic and its impact on the future of the international system?

The study reached many important conclusions, including that the Corona crisis will not affect the structure of the international system in the near future, as well as the balance of power will be in the interest of the United States due to considerations of the nature of the institutional and financial system, power, hegemony and its global supremacy.

The research concluded with many recommendations, the most important of which is the need to strengthen global peace, multilateral diplomacy and international cooperation in the face of global crises.
