This research begins by analyzing the regional behavior of both Iran and Israel in the Middle East through the application of realist and constructivist theories. It examines how both states utilize tools of power, influence, and self-interest, on the one hand, and tools of identity, image, and political discourse, on the other, within a regional environment characterized by chaos and uncertainty. The research also highlights the importance of the realist-constructivist approach in providing a more comprehensive explanation of the complexities of the Iranian-Israeli conflict. It concludes that the interplay of material and symbolic factors constitutes the true foundation of the regional behavior of both states in the region.
