Abstract

Abstract: This research examines the future of global security in light of major strategic shifts, the rapid changes occurring within the international system, escalating competition among major powers, and the growing threat of both traditional and non-traditional conflicts. The increasing importance of security has led to the strengthening of international alliances, the development of military and technological capabilities, and the expansion of security cooperation aimed at achieving stability. Conversely, geopolitical shifts and the declining effectiveness of some international institutions have contributed to increased uncertainty and escalating conflicts, impacting the stability of the global order. The current security environment is characterized by a precarious balance between growing defense capabilities and persistent threats, such as terrorism, cyberattacks, and economic and climate crises. The research concludes that the future of global security hinges on the ability of states to balance deterrence and international cooperation, and to develop collective security mechanisms that promote stability and mitigate the escalating threats.
