The Political and Religious Conflict and its Impact on the Identity Crisis in the Central African Republic

Abstract

Since the middle of the first decade of the twenty-first century, the Central African Republic knew a rapid increase of violence and conflict, a serious transformation in its form and character due to internal and external factors, most notably in the extreme poverty and political and economic backwardness of society and the state in the African Republic. This conflict, first described politically and confined to ethnic and tribal differences, was subsequently seriously developed by religiously colored Christian majority and Muslim minority, which plunged the country into a spiral of civil war and deepened the identity crisis in the Central African Republic.
